ABOUT

Nathan Silver a classically-trained visual artist based in Washington, DC. He works in oil portraiture, city-scape, still-life, abstraction, illustration, and murals. Born in 1987, his career has been informed profoundly by foregoing a traditional MFA program for non-accredited atelier training at the School of Representational Art, and the Palette and Chisel Academy of Fine Art in Chicago—whose teachers empowered him with the techniques and visual methods nearly forgotten in today’s digital world. His love of ancient art, from cave painting to renaissance oil-realism and beyond, guides him on his quest to enlighten today’s generations to the essential truths of this infinite moment and to a bright future, very attainable.
